Ann Gresswell and Rachel Moore illustrate how some youngsters with autism/autistic features, who have been using the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), benefit from expanding their communication using a variety of forms of AAC. They show how to support youngsters extending their communication with both high and low tech methods and how carefully structured use of the computer can help to facilitate the process.
