Training to understand and use communication technology.

Accredited Training

Three men around a computerThese four training units, developed in partnership with our sister centre ACE Centre North, can be completed as standalone courses which will be valuable CPD for anyone working with people with communication difficulties (spoken or written) or with physical and coordination difficulties.

The units can be accredited and may be combined to accrue the required number of CAT points to obtain a qualification at graduate or postgraduate level.

These four units can be accredited by Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and awarded CAT Points (Credit Accumulation Transfer Points). These can be accrued to achieve a Professional Award at Undergraduate or Postgraduate level. Accreditation for each module can accrue 20 or 40 CAT points, 20 points for completion of the module including necessary coursework and an additional 20 on completion of an extended written assignment. Please note that the accreditation of these courses will incur an additional fee to MMU.
