If you've been tasked with writing an AAC or communication policy, where do you start? This page has a few examples that might help.

Example of an Authority AAC Policy

Northamptonshire County Council have kindly agreed to let us feature their 2008 document entitled Practice and Procedures for High Technology Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Aids.

It's effectively a form of AAC policy document that that could be useful as a reference for others tasked with defining AAC policy and procedures. The document was revised in June 2008.
