SAW5 Designer

If you want to get your hands dirty and create your own selection sets from scratch, then opt for SAW Designer over SAW Lite. You get all the control over same settings that SAW Lite gives you (access method, timings, interface, mouse movement etc), but with comprehensive selection set creation and editing facilities.

SAW Designer has two menu settings. The reduced menu mode is the default, and it's intended for those who want to make simpler changes to selection sets to access Windows applications - a sort of SAW Lite Plus. Menus within this simple mode enable Desktops to be saved and loaded, and allow settings to be loaded, edited, and saved. In addition it allows for changes to the appearance and action of selection sets. The contents and actions of items can be altered but the designer is shielded from the more advanced menu options. Items can also be moved within hierarchies but new items cannot be created. In some cases applications or selection sets run from the set being edit can be changed - depending on how the designer has constructed the selection set.

The full menu mode has all the tools necessary to create, edit, and run selection sets. This version is intended for those who wish to design selection sets to meet the needs of a particular user or a group of users, or to design selection sets which provide efficient access to the facilities of a particular Windows application. There's a script editor to give advanced designers total control of functionality.

Developers welcome

Windows software developers can use SAW Designer to create selection sets which can then be sold with their products. The selection sets you create are completely free of any royalty fees; you can place them in the public domain for the benefit of others, or sell them if you wish. However, users must have a copy of SAW (typically the Lite version) in order to use any selection set.
